A round row of madeleines as a dog collar with a golden chocolate name tag.

A festive dessert shaped like a dog collar: a round row of madeleines with a white chocolate 'name tag' and edible gold details. This refers to Bardot's auctioned dog collars and her love for animals.

Ingredients

  • 16 madeleines (store-bought or homemade)
  • 100 g white chocolate
  • 1 tbsp edible gold powder or gold sugar pearls
  • 1 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 handful fresh strawberries
  • 1 handful blueberries

Method

  1. Melt the white chocolate au bain-marie and pour onto baking paper to form a rectangular tag (8x3 cm). Let harden.
  2. Dust the chocolate tag with edible gold powder or gold pearls as the 'name tag'.
  3. Wash and halve the strawberries. Wash the blueberries.
  4. Arrange the madeleines in a closed circle on a large round plate to form a collar.
  5. Place the chocolate name tag as the clasp at the bottom of the circle.
  6. Garnish the circle with strawberries and blueberries between the madeleines.
  7. Mix powdered sugar with lemon juice to make a thin glaze and drizzle over the madeleines for a festive shine.

Serving notes

  • Serve on a large round plate so the collar shape is clearly visible.
  • Place the chocolate tag prominently, optionally with a name written in edible pen.
  • Sprinkle extra gold pearls for a luxurious effect.
