DateOctober 21, 2026

A sharp row of halved eggs as satellites on a pickle line: tension and connection on your plate.

A row of sharply marinated halved eggs on a line of spicy pickle and tangy onion, forming the silhouette of a satellite chain. This visualizes the satellite network Ukraine is waiting for, with tension and sharp flavors reflecting the current situation.

Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 4 large pickles
  • 1 red onion
  • 2 tbsp white wine vinegar
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black peppercorns
  • 1 tbsp coarse mustard
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp chili flakes
  • fresh dill, for garnish

Method

  1. Boil the eggs for 8 minutes, cool in cold water, peel, and halve lengthwise.
  2. Slice the pickles lengthwise.
  3. Cut the red onion into thin half rings. Mix with vinegar, sugar, salt, and peppercorns and let marinate for 10 minutes.
  4. Mix mustard, olive oil, and chili flakes into a dressing.
  5. On each plate, place a halved pickle as the base line, then lay the halved eggs, rounded side up, in a straight line as satellites.
  6. Distribute the marinated onion between the eggs as connection lines.
  7. Drizzle the dressing over everything and garnish with fresh dill.

Serving notes

  • Serve on a long rectangular plate for the satellite effect.
  • Let the eggs slightly overlap for a chained look.
  • Add extra vinegar to the onions for more tension.
