Satellite Stew with Tension

Based on:

TypeMain course

Serves4 people

DateOctober 15, 2026

A stew arranged like a satellite dish: sharp, tangy, and full of tension on your plate.

A sharp, tangy chicken and pepper stew plated in circles to resemble a satellite dish, with thin pickle strips as ‘signals’ and a halved boiled egg as the ‘receiver’. The tension and connection of Starlink captured in taste and form.

Ingredients

  • 700 g chicken thigh fillet
  • 2 red bell peppers
  • 2 green bell peppers
  • 2 onions
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 can diced tomatoes (400 g)
  • 2 tbsp red wine vinegar
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp chili flakes
  • 200 ml chicken stock
  • 4 pickles
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • salt and pepper

Method

  1. Cut the chicken thighs into pieces. Season with salt, pepper, paprika, and chili flakes.
  2. Finely chop the onions and garlic. Slice the bell peppers into rings.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large pan. Brown the chicken all over. Remove from the pan.
  4. Sauté onion and garlic in the same pan until translucent. Add tomato paste and cook briefly.
  5. Return the chicken, add peppers. Cook for 2 minutes.
  6. Add diced tomatoes, red wine vinegar, and stock. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 25 minutes.
  7. Meanwhile, hard-boil the eggs. Peel and halve them.
  8. Cut the pickles into long thin strips.
  9. Spoon the stew onto four plates in a wide circle. Arrange pepper rings in concentric circles as the dish.
  10. Place a halved egg in the center as the ‘receiver’. Stick pickle strips out from the dish as ‘signals’.
  11. Season with extra pepper and serve immediately.

Serving notes

  • Serve with crusty bread to break the tension.
  • Garnish with extra chili flakes for those who want more heat.
